Now! Or Tomorrow! The real answer is Disney World will be there whenever you're able to get there. If you're able to travel when schools are in session, you'll likely see lower prices and shorter wait times. The summer time is very hot and very busy. Christmas time is cool to cold and also busy. Bottom line, just go when you're able to go.
This depends on whether this is a once in a lifetime trip or if you plan on coming back in the future. Your physical condition and childrens' needs should also be considered. Disney World vacations include several miles of walking per day so if you need to split that up, then plan accordingly. We rope drop each park and stay until late in the evening. Doing it this way allows us to knock out an entire park each day without needing to repeat a park during our stay so we plan for one park each day. Your mileage may vary.
Each resort has it's own charm and price tag. Which resort we stay at usually depends on the number of people in our group. You actually can! That is, if you want to carry it around. You'd also be missing out on the amazing food and snacks located in the parks. If you're looking to travel on a budget though, stick a grilled cheese in your pocket and head to the parks!
It's Florida, so expect rain at least once per day. Nearly every gift shop in the parks sells ponchos, but be prepared to fork out some money. Expect to pay $10-$14 each in the parks. Order some on Amazon before your trip or grab some locally before entering the parks. If you keep an eye on the weather radar, you can try to plan a long indoor queue during the rain. Small folding and larger golf umbrellas are allowed.
